Which space is on offer?
We are seeking a bar and hospitality operator to activate the bar and adjacent bistro area on the ground floor. However, if you have other ideas for other spaces within the building, we’d love to hear them!
What about food?
If your concept incorporates a food offering, there is the possibility of utilising the nearby commercial kitchen. It would not be for the exclusive use of the entire kitchen, but shared use of it will be negotiable through the owners of the building.
How long is the space on offer?
There is the potential for the space to be offered for up to 12 months rent-free via the Renew program – this will be negotiated further with the owners once they have selected a successful applicant, and takes into consideration the time for fit-out and other tenants to move into the building.
What building works are offered by Renew and the owner?
The space is offered ‘as-is’ with a functioning bar, cool room and fridges. The successful applicant will have the freedom to design and fitout the space that suits their concept. Renew has some limited funds to assist in some building repairs or upgrades. The owners of the building are currently working on their plans to develop and activate the property to complement their space next door. As always, Renew will offer support and advice in compliance requirements and managing council applications.
What is the future plan for the building?
Currently, the entire building is vacant. The owner intends to activate the entire building inline with their WOTSO Co-working model next door. This could include different offerings such as office, studio, co-working, food and beverage and retail. This further activation opportunity may or may not be offered via our program.
